She remembers the lesson her science teacher once taught
That heavenly bodies in the night sky are much larger than they appear
She remembers this lesson amid this urban jungle
No matter where she looks, it is often hard to find
The tallest tower in the world
So it appears that these other smaller towers
Stand in its way,
Because they are closer to where she stood
The laws of parallux apply
Smaller objects appear larger when they are closer
Like how the moon sometimes covers the sun in an eclipse
Like how sometimes a thumb covers up the moon
Like how smaller ambitions sometimes get in the way of her big dreams.
